My students need an iPad in order to help them learn to use technology. This is something my students are lacking, but that a huge majority the country use on a daily basis.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Help my students be able to experience technology, something our world is using everyday!
My students are kind hearted, wonderful kids.
They all are very grateful for anything you give them and willing to work hard for the things they achieve. Most of my students are on a free lunch and are not able to have many things that other children would. Most of my students do not have a computer or other forms of technology in their home.
My Project
An iPad would allow students to experience all kinds of things they may never have the opportunity to explore. It would give students the ability to do hands-on research into our lessons. We could buy apps that are compatible with our new reading curriculum that allow students to play educational games, interact with other students around the US, chart their reading progress throughout the year, practice their math skills, and so many other programs that they wouldn't be get to experience. Technology always gives students an exciting new way to learn. I feel my students deserve and need the extra motivation to allow them to succeed.
The United States adopted a new set of standards called The Common Core.
This incorporates all kinds of technology into everyday learning that we are not able to give our students. By donating to this project, you are giving a classroom of students the motivation to want to succeed in life and, also, be able to keep up with the rest of the students in United States.
