This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher, my biggest joy is providing my students with a classroom library full of variety. My 3rd graders this year will be taking a state exam that requires them to understand what the main idea of a book/text is and understand what the characters are experiencing and the lessons they have learned. My experience as a teacher has lead me to know that the best way a student can learn is by using books and resources that they relate to. By providing the books listed the students will be able to pick a text they connect with and learn the strategies I will be teaching. My students are hard workers and have a passion for reading and these books will not only help them prepare but also allow them an adventure.
