Help me give my students flexible seating options, including a floor workspace bundle, wobble cushions, and wobble chairs; they also would love math games they can use during our daily math stations.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Berkoh's classroom raised $609

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 32 third graders are eager and excited to learn every day! My students want to become better readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists and geographers. They will benefit from many resources to increase their love of learning. I teach at a Title I school in New York City and the needs of the community are high.
I believe in my students and I want them to understand how great they are too!
Together, I know this can be the best school year, but it will take hard work and grit to accomplish our goals.
My Project
My students would greatly benefit from having flexible seating options and engaging math materials in our classroom. Due to our large class of 32 students, students often ask to complete their classwork in our meeting areas instead of at their seats. They would absolutely love flexible seating options to work comfortably. Students would be able to choose from the independent work space materials, which is a great incentive for students. Students that need to move around often will also benefit from the wobble cushions they can sit on while at their tables.
The donation will truly ignite my students' desires to become more excited about their learning.
During our daily math block, students learn in math stations. Currently, we do not have many math games for students to play. My students would love the different math games and equivalency puzzles. Students would be able to have fun together to make the puzzles while also practicing expressing time, money, operations and fractions in 4 different ways. The math pop to win game is great for demonstrating understanding of third grade math concepts based on the common core standards. It will be a great practice and review for my students to develop the important skills as they play. Students will be able to practice plotting fractions on a number line, rounding, calculating perimeters, solving word problems, telling time and much more. The games also lend itself for students to collaborate, which is an important part of our class mission statement.
