3rd Grade Math Fluency

My Project

I currently teach 1st grade intervention in reading and math. Next year my role will be changing to 3rd-5th grade Math Intervention.

This fluency kit will help me to build number sense with my 3rd graders in 10 minutes a day with Number Talks.

It includes a lesson for each day that will help develop numeracy understanding, mathematical relationships and reasoning. When students have strategies to do mental math, they can be more successful in all math tasks. This fluency kit will help to provide a structure for practicing concrete and mental math strategies daily. This will be used for our "warm-up", and then we can spend the rest of the session building math skills within each domain, etc.

This kit includes: 1 teacher guide, 3 anchor charts, 120 number strings, 60 math talks, 1 set of picture, 1 set of dot multiplication cards, magnetic demonstration 120-bead rekenrek line, 7 flexible grid arrays, demonstration open number line poster, and a ratio table poster.
