This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class has a wonderful group of students who love to learn! They are full of energy and excitement to study literature, mathematics, conduct science investigations and enjoy studying history.

My students are located in a title I school in a low socio-economic area.

My students face battles and hardships every day that no child should have to face; however, they come to school with a smile on their face and an excitement to learn each day!

My Project

I will be requesting a regrouping activity chart to reinforce how to regroup in my mathematics class. I will be utilizing the expo markers (one per child) in order for them to write on their desk and branch out from just book work every day. I will be using the clipboards for each child so they can use them for small group, book club, literature circles, paired groups for math or reading, and intervention times.

This project will make a difference because my student's will enjoy working with partners, and using a fun and creative way to do math problems on their desk and with the regrouping chart!
