Help me give my students books that are on the state of Alaska's Battle of the Books list. By having these books accessible, students will be able to read, enjoy, and compete in a district competition.

My Project
Our classroom is in need of books that will ignite a love for reading while supporting key literacy skills such as comprehension and fluency. Specifically, we are requesting titles from Alaska’s 3rd Grade Battle of the Books list. These books are carefully selected to be engaging and developmentally appropriate, making them perfect for reading enjoyment as well as targeted reading practice. Having access to these books in our classroom will allow students to read independently, in pairs, and during small group instruction, reinforcing their reading growth in an enjoyable and meaningful way.
Beyond academic benefits, these books will open doors to exciting new reading experiences and foster a sense of teamwork and healthy competition.
Many students have not read the titles on this year's list, and this is a great opportunity for them to explore new genres and authors. By reading these books, students can participate in the district-level Battle of the Books competition, with the potential to advance to the state level. This experience builds confidence, collaboration skills, and a deeper appreciation for reading—all through stories they’ll love and remember.
