My Students

Our school is part of the NYC Pre-K for All initiative. This is the seventh year this program has been implemented. Our school provides developmentally appropriate practices and a safe environment that is conducive to learning. Our mission is to provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow through authentic experiences that will build a solid foundation for their academic success. The program we provide our students incorporates interactive activities, student-inquiry-based lessons, and appropriate social and emotional experiences that target the holistic development of a preschooler.

Our school is located in a low-income area that strives to provide support to our students, as well as their families.

We are continuing to build relationships and incorporate the cultures of our students and their families into our everyday instruction.

My Project

I use centers everyday to help my students learn in the classroom, but unfortunately all I have is a black and white ink. To really capture the attention of my students I want to provide games and activities rich in not only learning, but with bright and vivid colors.

With younger students you have to do all you can to grab and keep their attention.This is just another aspect of providing a stimulating environment that I would like to add to my classroom.

It may not seem like a color printer is that big of a deal, but it makes a huge difference. Students get excited when they see bright new colorful games and I just want to keep that excitement going all year!
