This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our little 3K learners are curious, enthusiastic and motivated when presented with new tools to explore. With a stand-up brick building center, children will be able to further explore and develop their engineering skills. Children will also have the ability to work on a project that will be display it in the classroom, which can be difficult to do on our classroom tables which are used for meal times. A stand-up brick building center is very versatile and could also be used to incorporate building, math (patterns, symmetry and counting) and even help with developing scientific inquiry (How can we make something happen?) Also, it allows for more than one child to engage in this form of building as it is double-sided.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
