Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a very diverse population. My classroom has students from many different backgrounds with many languages and countries represented.

Their parents are hard working, loving parents but because of hardships, they are not able to provide technology for their children to use and or experience.

Many students receive free lunch because of the economics of their home.

My students are bright and eager to learn about science. Any new technology piece or experience brings great excitement. This high engagement brings great rewards.

My Project

The 3Doodler Create Half will be a unique experience for my students. Using technology creates great interest and excitement among the students. We are collecting straws for a recycling campaign. I like the 3Doodler tool because the children will see how recycling one material can turn into something else. I also see the 3Doodler Create Half as being used in project based learning. We will make a plan and execute it in small groups. This opportunity will provide opportunity for each child to contribute and/or be a leader within the project execution. My students have limited opportunity at home to use technology.
