I am a school library media specialist in a Title I school. I serve approximately 600 students in the media center each week. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch every day.
Despite the challenges our students face, they consistently show a strong desire to learn new information.
Our school has been named a Georgia Reward School in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017. Our students work hard each day to reach their maximum potential. It's great to be a Mustang!
My students will build STEAM skills as they create their own 3D projects in the media center. The 3D Printer will allow my elementary students to learn to use designing and engineering software to create their own 3D projects. Many of my students would not otherwise have access to this form of technology. I would love to provide them with these experiences.
Preparing my students for real-world life experiences is an important aspect of my job as media specialist.
Building a love of technology and engineering in students at an early age can guide my students to careers in these fields as adults.
