3D STEM Creations

Help me give my students be able to create 3D designs with a 3D printer! Students will also have cloud making materials for experimenting with weather.

My Project

My students are active learners who love hands on science. They also learn better by doing and participating. They would love a 3D printer to enable them to create the things that they invent through the engineering process. Throughout the year, we do several projects incorporating research of national monuments, endangered animals, how nature inspires inventions, and how history has changed us. Students create reports and models, usually using paper and pencil. By using a 3D printer, they can go a step further by creating a 3D model of their research. They can be inventors of products for our class economics store. They can create their own creatures with their knowledge of animal traits. They can model different life cycles in science. I am also requesting different colors of filament to help us be able to create a variety of different models.

STEM projects greatly enhance their creativity and ability to think outside the box.

My students also need science kits that will help them visualize the process of the water cycle. They will be able to experiment with different variables of making clouds and forming ice. This will help them to explain the process in their own words.
