Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students attend an elementary school in a low-income neighborhood of Newark, New Jersey.

They are part of a Bilingual Language Program and are learning English while still maintaining their home language.

My students are eager learners who are working towards being fully bilingual and bi-literate. As we are learning about coding and the 3D world, they need your help and support as we are continuously trying to equip our classroom with everything we need to ensure their success. Making sure that they have the tools they need is crucial to their learning.

The idea is to give my students the freedom to explore, design, and create new things. The first step will be to introduce the following:

1. 3D printing Basics: Provide students with a complete overview of 3D printing technologies and the opportunities and limitations that come with them.

2. 3D Modelling Basics: Complete overview of modeling

3. 3D Printing and Slicing: Learn and watch how to use the essential slicer settings to get the most out of the 3D printer.

This would be the beginning of our journey to learn about the 3D printer, at the same time our first project would be to Expand on Earth Science concepts by exploring the different layers of Earth. Printing and coloring Earth's layers they will enjoy putting together their own world.
