This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A 3D printer will provide my students with a modern tool which will help them leverage technology in a new way. They will design 3D figures that will represent items from new concepts in order to better internalize their learning. For example, they can design the US Capitol building that represents one part of our government. The possibilities are endless.

My 2nd graders are always eager to learn new ideas.

Everyday, they engage in asking me questions about new concepts. Learning is forever evolving for my students as well as for me. Our school owns no 3D printers. This new way of learning will be revolutionary for my students.

Ninety-three percent of my 2nd grade students are disadvantaged. Providing them with this tool will help them bridge achievement gaps. Creating learning opportunities, such as 3D printing, will give rise to creatively, collaborations, and communication. Thank you for your consideration.
