This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are dedicated excited learners that range in abilities from autism to gifted but share one common thread, the lack of resources available to them. My school is in a district in which every school is a high poverty Title I school, so often times educational resources are only available to my students during school hours.

Having an added 3D printer in the Technology Lab will increase students thirst for learning new skills at a higher level.

The 3D printer will also be an added resource for our S.T.E.A.M projects.

My Project

A Flashforge 3D printer in our classroom would increase not only the excitement of creating 3D items, but it would also be a motivator of continued effort to want to learn something new. My students would be able to create an object in SketchUp and make it come to life with an actual 3D replica of their work that they can take home and admire for years to come.

I am delighted to put more students on the path to success by putting much-needed access to more technology and innovations at their finger tips.

When you have been working on an assignment and you finally finish, it is an amazing feeling to hold that newly created object in your hands knowing that you accomplished your goal.

I would like students to be able to continue expanding their imaginations and creative juices in 3D printing.
