My Students

My classroom is an exciting, hands-on gifted class. We do all types of projects and building. Most of the projects are picked by the students themselves. They are always ready to learn and make something new.

We live in a small rural town with a high population of EL students.

We have a high population of students that receive free or reduced rate lunch. A majority of the students come from high poverty homes. The students are kind, caring, and take pride in everything they create.

My Project

A 3D printer for our classroom will allow my gifted students to see their ideas come to life. It will allow them to become creators. They will be able to create real world solutions for problems. They will also be able to participate in competitions around the world to show what they can do. They will be using math, engineering and critical thinking skills to create their designs and see them become a reality. They will learn skills that will help them later in life when they are choosing careers for their future.
