Help me give my students access to a 3D printer for use in high school classes allowing AVID students across grade levels to bring their ideas to life in full color while developing valuable 21st-century skills.
3D printing has become a transformative tool in modern education, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. While our school currently offers access to some basic fabrication tools, we lack a high-quality, efficient, and multi-color 3D printer that can support advanced student projects and curriculum objectives.
The Bambu Lab 3D printer with multi-color capabilities is ideal for our college and career readiness classes (AVID) to help students with:
Art and design (creating functional art, custom product designs, and expressive sculptures.)
Career and technical education (understanding manufacturing processes and product development.)
This technology would allow students to move from digital design to tangible output in a seamless, colorful, and efficient way—deepening understanding, encouraging problem-solving, and cultivating real-world skills.
Goals and Outcomes:
Increase student engagement and interest in STEAM-related fields.
Provide authentic learning experiences through design thinking and prototyping.
Support differentiated instruction using physical models and visual aids.
Foster collaboration through group design challenges and presentations.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
