My Students
My students come from all over the world! We are fortunate to be in a shadow's distance to a major university which provides us the opportunity for our students to learn alongside a very international and diverse group of friends. It also means that we have an ever-changing level of abilities and expectations within our classroom walls.
A typical day in my classroom involves a lot of movement and discussion.
We are an active group and are constantly exploring the curriculum through experimentation and personal interaction with the world!
My Project
We have two 3D printers in our classroom. We use these to print projects and rewards of fidgets and other items. We have discovered that white plastic is great to color on. We would really enjoy have acrylic markers that make our coloring last on the 3D prints. We are also looking to use a spray to help seal in our colors. In addition to this, we are needing to resupply our filament inventory for our 3D printers. This gives our students the opportunity for more choice in their 3D printing.
Having the ability to 3D print in the classroom provides many opportunities for our students to use a lot of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) in the classroom.
It also allows us to print rewards and even fidgets for our students to stay focused and motivated in the classroom.
