This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are eager learners and enjoy exploring in the world of STEAM. The primary STEAM club at my school is called the "Tinkerwolves" (a play on words for our school mascot, the Timberwolves). Students use the Design Method to design solutions and solve problems with the use of Math and Science principles. These students are active learners and strive to better their understanding of our world of STEAM! We strive to prepare our students to be fluent readers, mathematicians, and critical thinkers.

My Project

These 3D printers will allow students to build 3D models and 3D prints to assist their approach and ability to solve problems in the classroom, in their local area, or the World. Students will be tasked to work on solutions to problems they want to solve.

Designing and printing 3D models with these printers will reinforce lessons in science, technology, engineering, art and math that are already being taught in the classroom.

Providing students with the tools, these 3D printers, to learn the STEAM fundamentals will help them in future studies and prepare them for a career in related fields. Students will learn skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
