My Students

The most amazing thing about HHS is its diversity. Some ethnicities represented by our population are Karen, Hmong, Thai, Mexican, Ecuadorian, Somalian, Ethiopian. Over 50% are English as a second language. About 45% are Asian, 27% African American, 18% Hispanic, 6% White 6%, 3% American Indian. 85% of students are on free and reduced lunch.

My Project

At HSS we have many different project-based courses which allow our students to create and build things. In our Intro to Technology course, students learn to use Fusion 360 and/or Tinker CAD to create their ideal room. In our engineering and PLTW courses, students are confronted with a problem and design various parts to solve it. In our Drone Technology Course, students learn about the design and construction of a drone and create their own parts.

All of these designed objects will only exist virtually without 3D printers.

With your donation, our students will be able to touch their designs and test their prototypes just as a real engineer does.
