My Students

All students deserve a chance to express themselves. Every day I am inspired by the creativity, drive, and dedication I see from the students in our school and I plan to use the material and equipment to help the students unleash their potential.

These materials will benefit the entire school by providing interactive STEAM materials and access to (literal) cutting edge technology.

Throughout the year these students work very hard and deserve the equipment and basic supplies to achieve their highest potential.

My Project

A strong foundation in technology and engineering is key to developing 21st-century skills. Students are familiar with 3D printers and having access to one in class will be a first for many of these students.

3D printers are a key tool for iterating and seeing your ideas come to life -- something that many students never have access to in their lives.

This specific 3D printing kit by Dremel is a tool for students to use. Many 3D printers are sold as a "build and maintain the project," but what beginning students who are just starting to get excited about engineering is a tool that will help them see their ideas in the real world.

I envision students using this tool for everything from our engineering challenges throughout the year to creating models of their designs. Students will utilize the 3D printer in everything from designing vehicles to manufacturing manipulative items to help better understand difficult topics.
