it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our high school robotics team, Brave Tech, is on a mission to use our engineering skills to change lives—one prosthetic at a time. We are seeking a high-quality 3D printer to help us design and fabricate functional prosthetic hands and arms for children in our local community and globally, including in countries like Jordan and the Dominican Republic.
Many children living with limb differences lack access to affordable, custom prosthetics, and our students want to be a part of supplying these for them.
Using open-source designs and student-led innovation, we aim to provide lightweight, low-cost, and personalized prosthetic limbs, restoring mobility, confidence, and independence.
With this 3D printer, we will be able to:
Rapidly prototype and refine prosthetic designs
Produce durable, high-precision parts tailored to each child's needs
Collaborate with doctors and the nonprofit, Hands Across Borders, to ensure safe and functional devices
Integrate real-world problem-solving into our STEM education
This project is more than just robotics—it's about empathy, service, and global impact. Your donation helps empower students as changemakers and gives children the chance to do everyday tasks we often take for granted—like holding a toy, riding a bike, or hugging a loved one.
