This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Last year, I started a before and after school program called Builders Club at my Title 1 School (Free lunches and breakfasts, low socioeconomic backgrounds, etc) and I have many of my students with disabilities from my Behavior Intervention class in the club. In this club, students are able to access their imagination and be creative. They learn to design, plan, and iterate prototypes for their 3D models on the computer. Then, their designs come to life with our 3D Printers. The only problem is that we have been becoming pretty popular and I don't have enough 3D printers to accommodate all of their awesome designs. This new 3D Printer and filaments would help out tremendously in making my Builders Club a success.
