My Project
Aloha! I'm a high school alternative learning teacher in Honolulu, HI. I teach 9th-12th grade students who need extra motivation to continue to learn, build grit, and build a positive growth mindset.
3D printer filament helps students to create and pursue creativity in the classroom.
My students use the 3D printer in class all the time to create and invent and I tie those creations to project based learning in the classroom.
Imagine a classroom that students can walk into and touch their learning. This will not only let students work with wood but also teach them how to use old-school tools as I infuse STEM into my classroom learning.
As an alternative learning teacher, I really attempt to think outside the box on how to engage students in learning. These supplies are all about putting learning and creativity into the hands of my students.
I run a gamified classroom where students are immersed in a theme and achievements. These items will help with this unique experience. In the end, I want to create a classroom learning environment for my students that sparks creativity, motivates learning, and helps students feel welcomed.
Mahalo (thank you) for taking the time to consider this project for my students.
