Help me give my students access to custom made 3D printed manipulatives and learning devices
FULLY FUNDED! Dr. Hunsaker's classroom raised $568
This project is fully funded
My Project
Students with Visual Impariments/Blindness often lack access to the same selection of manipulatives available to their classmates. Most classroom learning aids are visual, which specifically exclude low vision and blind students.
Making custom 3D printed manipulatives and learning aids guarantee these students have the ability to participate with their peers in the learning process without being left out or put at a disadvantage because of their sensory impairment.
With 3D printers and filament, we can also make adaptive learning games akin to scrabble, card games, and other activities used in the classroom to reinforce concepts. We can give these visually impaired/blind students the benefit of learning along with, and not just beside, their sighted peers.
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
As a teacher-founded nonprofit, we're trusted by thousands of teachers and supporters across the country. This classroom request for funding was created by Dr. Hunsaker and reviewed by the DonorsChoose team.
