Help me give my students a ISTE recommended 3D Printer to demonstrate and model their learning while helping to keep animals at the Zoo happy and engaged.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Three years ago our school made the transition to become a STEM school. Our school is unique in that each of the teachers has fully embraced the Problem Based Learning model to provide our students with a more hands on, real world and cohesive approach to learning. Problem Based Learning is where students are presented with a real world challenge or problem and then apply what they learn across content areas to create a solution for this problem.
At least a third of our students come from low-income homes.
However, the success and engagement shown throughout their learning is evident in every student. Students are excited when they come to school and are eager to learn, create, and problem solve. This is what I think makes my students special.
Our second graders will be working on creating animal enrichments for an animal at the Zoo. Students will do research about their chosen animal as well as their animal's environment. They will then design and create a 3D printed model of an enrichment to keep the animals happy and engaged. The second graders have already met with the enrichment specialist at our local Zoo to get an idea of what animals might need an enrichment. Our students will present their 3D printed enrichment to the specialist in hopes that the specialist can introduce an actual size version of the enrichment to the animals at the Zoo.
