My Project

As a science/ social studies teacher I discuss many different types of maps with my students. The one type of map that is always presented to my students in one dimension is a topography map. I can always see the slight confusion on my students faces as I explain how the map shows various elevations for a landscape or mountain range. It would be great if my students could see the elevations in a 3D model.

Having students create an 3D topographical map of a desired landscape or mountain range is an amazing way to teach them about elevation.

Students can also print 3D models of complex structures like the human body, molecules, or even historical artifacts, making concepts easier to understand.
