Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A 3D printer will make a difference in student learning because instead of reading about ancient artifacts, tools or monuments, students can hold, study and interact with physical replicas. This makes learning more engaging and memorable. It is one thing to imagine the Great Wall of China or a Roman catapult looked like, it's another to actually see it and touch a model of it. My goal for this project is to provide students with the opportunities to interact with 3D printed replicas of historical objects, making learning active and engaging. My students are eager to explore the past in new and innovative ways. They're not afraid to ask questions, imagine possibilities, and connect history to the world around them.
