3D Geometric Building!

My Students

Hi everyone! I have a great class, full of students with many diverse personalities and learning curves. I have students that range from grade 6 levels in all subjects down to 2nd grade levels in all subjects. COVID-19 has made it really difficult for many of these students over the past two years to really progress and grow at the rate that they were previously to the pandemic. They love hands on activities and a good book to be read to and or follow along with.

My Project

Over the last couple of years we have really seen a decrease in the level of understanding of students that are working with 3D shapes, nets and finding the surface area and volume of those shapes. With these 3D tools we hope to really bring to life the learning experience in the classroom with hands on activities that allow each student to create and build. Then they can use those models to find surface area, volume and nets that belong to each shape that they build. We think hands on experiences will be the best learning tool available to them!
