Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at our school are very excited by the prospect of mask-making. They are strong 3d artists but some additional supplies will take our mask-making to the next level.
From Halloween monsters to Picasso-inspired abstracted masks, our kids will use these face forms and mod podge to create colorful works of art.
The forms are a reusable base to paper mache our masks onto so that the masks will fit the forms of our faces once removed. They can be used over and over again from year to year so many students can partake. Mod podge acts as a strong sealant to protect the painted details.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
