My Project
Supporting young girls in STEM is not just about equity—it's about unlocking untapped potential that can drive innovation and progress in every field. Girls often face subtle but powerful social messages that steer them away from science, technology, engineering, and math from an early age. By creating environments where their curiosity is encouraged and their talents are nurtured, we help build their confidence and spark their passion for discovery. Providing access to resources like 3D pens, lacing strings, and even toothpicks for engineering challenges can make abstract concepts tangible and fun. These tools aren’t just supplies—they’re invitations to experiment, problem-solve, and think like future scientists and creators.
Hands-on activities that blend creativity with technical thinking are especially important for young learners.
When girls are given the freedom to build, tinker, and imagine with materials that stimulate both sides of the brain, they develop the skills and mindset that STEM careers demand. These experiences show them that STEM isn't just equations on a board—it’s about designing, innovating, and shaping the world around them.
