My Project

When I grew up, game design and 3D modeling software wasn't even a thought in my mind. I liked 3D glasses and making things out of paper and playing video games. Now, learners can design their own games, and design on Tinkercad or other cad programs and love doing it! What a great way to engage them and connect to their content. Our learners are creative thinkers and very excited about learning!

CoSpaces Edu platform provides a suite of intuitive built-in tools to create anything in 3D!

Plus, the coding features it offers, either text-based or block-based, allow students to create animations and characters' actions in various contexts as well as their own video games. We will combine the creativity of 3D modeling and creation with coding to create real-life stories. Ah, a literacy connection too! Some learners may be video game programmers when they grow up after this experience.

CoSpaces Edu is accessible from all kinds of devices. ALL students can experience this no matter their cultural background and experience level. This will allow learners of all racial backgrounds to see themselves in a technology world. Learners can explore their creations in Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality using the Merge Cube add-on.

Despite efforts to increase interest, participation, and access to STEM education, certain population groups remain underrepresented in these fields.

These inequities are predominantly seen across race/ethnicity and gender. While these “gaps” have narrowed, they are still present and I do everything I can to expose all learners to these fields.
