Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are a special group of individuals with lots of personality. More than 50% of my students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. Even though my students face challenges some believe may prevent them from meeting their full potential, they rise above. This determination and drive has steadily been proven to be effective. My students have made my school district the top performing network of charter schools in my city. Most of our graduates get accepted and attend the top public, private and boarding schools in the area. I am so proud of them and all that they accomplish.

The ability to utilize 3D pens during the artistic process will enable my students take their 2D ideas into a 3D reality.

The 3D pens and related supplies will allow my students to turn flat shapes into 3D forms during the sculptural process. The art studio at our school is small. The benefits of being able to create sculpture has missed our students because of this limited space. The ability to create 3D sculptures will greatly enhance the art curriculum at our campus.
