Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
MOTIVATED, ENTHUSIASTIC, SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS! This is my goal every year. My students come from diverse backgrounds and can face extreme difficulties in their life, at such a young age. As their teacher, I want them to come to school feeling safe and excited to learn in my classroom. In order to accomplish this goal I want to supply them with engaging learning activities throughout the school day. Unfortunately, my school does not have the funds to purchase all the amazing activities and material that I want to include in my classroom. It is my hope, that with your assistance, I may continue to provide my students with engaging activities to help them become successful learners!
My Project
I want my students to be able to participate in Daily 5 centers around my classroom that are engaging and exciting to help build their stamina for reading. The Daily 5 centers include: reading to self, reading to someone, working with words, listening to reading, and working on writing. I want to be able to provide various books in our class library to excite my students. I would like to purchase books on cd so that struggling readers not only hear words read, but have them provided in a story text to follow along to. With the purchase of pillows I can provide students comfort while reading in class. With your assistance I can help students take reading to the next level!
