Help me give my students an amazing experience to have 3 popular children's author visits during the 2025 - 2026 school year! Authors will be discussing the importance of Reading and Writing, and discuss their illustrating.
Our students LOVE these authors! Being able to participate in these live author events would bring their books and the process of writing to life in an engaging, personal way. Students will be able to deepen their connection to these authors and their books and see the writing process and the people behind them. All three of these authors are very engaging and will spark excitement about reading, foster curiosity, and encourage ALL of our readers to engage with reading and writing. Hearing these authors speak will give students valuable insights into the writing process. These are very popular children's authors with limited schedules, that we would not be able to host at our school in person.
A virtual author visit will turn reading into a shared interactive experience that will make students' reading and writing more meaningful.
For each virtual author event our students participate in a live, virtual presentation (30-40 minutes) with a celebrated and loved author featuring interactive reading, writing and/or drawing.
Our school will receive five hardcover copies of each author's latest title or an author collection showcasing five different titles by the author. ( 15 new library books total)
We will also receive a student activity guide to facilitate pre- and post-event engagement.
There will also be a post-event recording available for 30 days after the live event so all students will be able to view it.
