3-D Visual Arts

Help me give my students a 3-D printer to create visual arts projects!

My Students

I teach at a Title I school. We are very low income. The entire school qualifies for 100% free breakfast and lunch. I have many refugees and homeless students. Many students come from single-parent households.

My students have little exposure to outside world experiences.

Many of them have parents who don't speak English or aren't literate. My school strives to meet as many needs as we can, not only educational, but finding beds, doing laundry, and so much more. My students are eager to learn.

My Project

I would like to give my students the opportunity to create visual arts projects with the use of a 3-D printer. My students will draw figures, shapes, etc and turn them into figures with this machine.

This printer will foster creativity and allow my students to gain an understanding of the importance of the arts in education.

Art education helps young children develop a range of skills, including, fine and gross motor, language, social, visualization, and risk-taking.

After the 3-D pieces are created, students will write about them and present them to the rest of the classroom. Arts education can be incorporated into a variety of curriculum activities.
