Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A 3D printer in the classroom would offer my students a unique opportunity to interact with technology creatively. A 3D printer would empower them to explore their creativity and bring their ideas to life, fostering innovation and preparing them for future technological challenges. This resource could make a profound impact on their educational journey, help keep them ahead of the learning curve and ensure they have the tools to continue to succeed.

This hands-on experience will empower them to solve real world problems within our classroom in addition to creating models and manipulatives for science, social studies, math, and our school store.

Once proficient, students will share their knowledge by teaching their peers, fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment. They will also learn how to create fidgets and other miniature items (animals, etc), that can be used in the school store. They will model for the younger students how to design and create a project, help them print their item, and collaborate and use their leadership skills to model for the younger students what you can do with technology.

We have one printer already but it jams quite frequently because it's in constant use - a second printer will alleviate the workload on our original and will allow us to create more projects in a more time efficient manner.
