This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project would support all three second-grade classrooms at our school. As part of our Life Science and habitats science standard, we learn about the life cycle of plants and animals. We focus on the life cycle of a bean and the life cycle of a butterfly.

We would love to show students the life cycle of a plant in real-time, by growing plants in our classroom!

This project would allow students to witness the growth a plant does under the soil and fully observe the life cycle. We would also need grow lights as our classroom does not have any windows and as our students learn in our unit, plants need light to grow!
