Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the best students! They are a wonderful group of second graders with such a thirst for knowledge. They come from a very poverty-stricken area in a city. It's very difficult for my students to keep up with the high demands of school, and they often fall behind throughout their school years. Many of my children are coming into second grade performing below grade level. My goal is to help my students to be prepared so they can be successful learners!
My Project
My students need nameplates to keep their name tags from being destroyed. They will use the storage containers to hold supplies for writing and reading centers. The different colors of the containers will be used for the different center groups. The blue partition boards will be helpful when my students are completing their independent work. Working in a classroom can be very distracting for some of my students with special needs, the boards will allow them to focus better while working. They will be able to take them and use them whenever they need them. Having these supplies will help my students to start off the school year with the things they need in order to be successful in school.
