This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am fortunate to teach a class of kind, funny, and hardworking second graders who come to school eager to learn. At our Title I school, 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many face significant challenges outside the classroom. Each year, I support students navigating mental health issues such as trauma, ADHD, depression, along with health issues like asthma and severe allergies. I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive, grow, and realize their full potential.

My students need an air purifier to stay healthy so they can thrive in school while helping them keep a positive mindset and promote mental health.

Giving my students clean air to breathe is a top priority. Several of my students struggle with allergies and asthma. This affects their overall well being and mental health. It is hard for them to stay focused when they are not feeling well.

This air purifier will provide clean air throughout our classroom. It is important that we keep all students and staff as healthy as possible and that starts with clean fresh air.

I want my students to feel safe in their classroom physically as well as emotionally and mentally, and I think this air purifier will be a great step towards achieving just that. I know they will appreciate having nice, clean air in our classroom!
