This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This coming school year (2019-2020) I am moving to second grade! I know almost all of my students already. They are creative, fun, and are in need of a positive and safe learning environment. Most of my students come from families that live far below the poverty line, so it’s essential to their development that they attend a school that helps meet all their needs. Their families choose Nance because our teachers do everything in their power to give students the very best education. Help me give these students the absolute best this school year!
My Project
I teach at a school that is committed to empowering students to change the world. The only problem is that most materials that encourage students to do this are bought with teacher funds! My students need a safe and encouraging place to learn and grow. These materials will help my classroom with flexible seating, STEM materials, and classroom supplies!
These items will allow me to transform my classroom into a safe learning environment.
The flexible seating will allow my students to choose a place that is comfortable and aides in their learning. The Magnetic blocks will allow my students to explore and study STEM concepts. Having classroom supplies allows me to spend more time and money on other things and not markers or clipboards. There are items that I need, but often put back because other items are more important.
