My Project

The 2nd grade has been busy learning about the life cycle of plants and the role of pollinators in our environment this year. This project will bring their learning to life by creating a school garden.

Students will get their hands dirty by planting a variety of vegetables, flowers, and herbs.

Students will plant seeds and seedlings, water their plants regularly, and monitor plant growth. Each student will keep a garden journal to document plant growth, weather conditions, and any discoveries made along the way.

By participating in this project, students will understand the life cycle of plants and the basics of gardening, develop teamwork and communication skills, experience the rewards of patience and perseverance that gardening brings, and build an appreciation for fresh, healthy foods. Thank you for helping bring our 2nd grade garden to life!
