My Students
My wonderful second grade students walk into our classroom every day very eager to learn, and I am very eager to teach these young children. Our amazing school is located in Bayside, Queens where the population of students is very diverse. They all come from very hard working families that contribute as much as they can and do so much to be involved in their child's education. Our school's budget is very tight, therefore, we all try to contribute as much as we can.
My Project
We are a class of 28 inquiring minds who love to book shop every week for leveled fiction and nonfiction books. However, we don’t have many choices because our nonfiction book bins are practically empty. We love to read informational books and in turn teach others about various topics. To successfully do this, we need access to lots of nonfiction books, and ours is limited. Can you imagine eagerly looking forward to borrowing nonfiction books to read and by the time it’s your turn to visit the classroom library, the book bin is empty? Please help us fill our nonfiction book bins!!
