This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, creativity thrives when students have the chance to work with their hands. This project will give my students the opportunity to design and create sculptures, transforming their ideas from sketches into three-dimensional forms. Inspired by artists like Paul Klee, Joan Miró, and Henri Matisse, students will explore the beauty of geometric and organic shapes in a tangible way.
Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, my students have not had the chance to work with clay—a fundamental and expressive medium in the arts.
In a tech school, where hands-on learning is essential, providing access to clay will help bridge the gap between technical skills and artistic creativity. The materials I am requesting will allow every student to experience the tactile, problem-solving, and fine motor skills that come with sculpting, an experience they have been missing.
My students are eager, talented, and full of ideas. They deserve the chance to explore a material that has been out of reach for them. This project will not only nurture their artistic skills but also give them confidence in their ability to bring their visions to life. With your support, we can provide them with a creative experience that will have a lasting impact!
