My Students
My class is an open enrollment AP class. The students in my classroom are very diverse in terms of their abilities and needs since I take all comers. There are many students who are English language learners. They need a classroom that gives them the support they need to be successful in high school.
As a comprehensive public high school, my students represent the entire spectrum of students.
Over 50% qualify for free and reduced lunch. By donating to my classroom you will be helping a diverse socio-economic population.
The key to a successful classroom is I must differentiate my instruction to meet all the unique needs of all my students. With proper support, all my amazing students can meet their potential.
My Project
With a swivl system I can capture all the content of my class and then post it online for students to access anytime. This allows students who struggle, as much time they need to finish the advanced assignments in an AP Biology class. Since my class is open access I have many students who struggle with the rigors of an AP class in a STEM field.
This is especially important for students trying to finish lab reports.
Students are usually focused on doing the lab during class rather than on content. By posting a video of the lab afterwards it gives students a chance to focus on the learning goals of the lab whenever they want.
