This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"I Love Reading"... "Writing is My Favorite Time"... "YAY! We are Going to the STEM Lab!". These are some of things I hear my students say on a daily basis.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, speak many languages, and have many voices and stories to share.
We are a Title I school, which means many of our students come from low-income households. Regardless, each student comes to school every day with a smile and a joyful greeting. They love school, they love learning, and they look forward to connecting to the world around them through the classroom.

I am not a worksheet teacher.
My students are not worksheet learners. We love Hands On, Creative, Critical Thinking and FUN ways to show our BrainPower learning. Whenever I integrate technology into my lessons, my students are engaged and they go above and beyond to show their learning.
I have a dream that every child in my class can have a device they can use on the spot. Right now we have access to a limited number of iPads. One iPad for every five students. With your support, we can add a 3 more iPads to our classroom. We will use the iPads to make movies about the books we are reading using the app iMovie. We will record how we are solving math problems with the app Chatterpix. In Science, we will create digital books with the app Book Creator. We will upload all of our work onto the app SeeSaw, a digital portfolios, so our families can see all the work we've created. Our iPads are not just for games. It's for authentic experiences. With these iPads my students will be equipped and ready for the 21st century working environment and being a global citizen.
