My Students
My group of fiery fourth graders are always itching to learn in a hands on, active way. We are a title 1 school, therefore resources are often difficult to obtain. However, my students make the best of what we are fortunate to have. The growth they have shown is tremendous and I hope to be able to facilitate my class' learning in new and exciting ways!
My students are very tech savvy and enjoy it so having a resource that will enhance their learning that would not only peek their interest, but enforce the work I do with them in teacher guided small groups.

My Project
On a Chromebook, there are numerous apps and websites that my students can utilize during center time in Math and ELA such as our literacy program website Pearson Realize, Think Central-Go Math, MobyMax, ReadWriteThink, Front Row, PARCC practice tests, etc. As we rotate in small groups, students will have independent work time. They will be able to research and explore apps/sites that include our focus skills for that week, type their test essays, or access my Google classroom to be a true 21st century learner! Practice can also be differentiated based on the student's individual needs via the use of technology. I feel as though it is not only about helping struggling students reach their goals, but also keeping my average and higher achieving students engaged and learning in new and different ways.
