My Students
I have a wonderful group of 21 third graders in my class. I have many students for whom English is a second language and other students who are on Individual Education Plans.
The children in my classroom work so hard to learn English.
Many of them only have the opportunity to practice their English in the classroom. Yet, every day they come in with smiles on their faces and ready to work. They make so much progress throughout the year. I could not be more proud of them.
My Project
The use of Chromebooks in my classroom is a daily occurrence. My children are learning to type and learning to craft responses to questions using these keyboarding skills. They are learning how to research and how to use this information both in their writing and understanding of many different topics.
The science curriculum we have is online based, and these Chromebooks will help the children access this curriculum.
The children practice both their math facts and problem solving abilities using different websites. They are also able to practice their reading comprehension skills by reading current events and other articles and then answering questions.
