This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income households with 100% free breakfast and lunch. Economic disadvantages prevent my students from having the necessary tools, supplies, and resources at home, therefore, it is crucial for my students to have what they need to be successful in school. My ultimate goal is to provide my students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in and out of school. My classroom is composed of a variety of learning disabilities that present several challenges for their academic success.

My Project

Technology for disadvantaged students in low-income communities helps to build confidence and their identity through the use of an iPad. "I SEE ME," using technology no matter what my social economic statuses is.

During the preschool years, young children are developing a sense of initiative and creativity.

My students are curious about the world around them and about learning. Pre-K students are exploring their ability to create and communicate using a variety of media (crayons, felt-tip markers, paints and other art materials, blocks, dramatic play materials, miniature life figures) and through creative movement, singing, dancing, and using their bodies to represent ideas and experiences. Digital technologies will provide my students with one more outlet for them to demonstrate their creativity and learning.
