Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! My classroom is a diverse population of students, all with their own unique background and needs. I have students with Hispanic backgrounds, Chinese backgrounds, African American students, and Caucasian students. These children are one of the hardest working groups of students I have ever had. They are smart and determined to learn all that they can.
My students have a wide range of abilities that need to be addressed so students will succeed.
Every child comes into my classroom with different strengths and weaknesses and I want to ensure all my students leave knowing they are ready for the next challenge ahead of them. Some of my students are above grade level and need support so that they continue to grow. I also have students who come to me way below grade level that need to be instructed in small groups so that they will grow and blossom.
My Project
My students do not have daily exposure to personalized technology. Students get to use the school computer lab once a week, when the lab is not being used for online assessments. Students are expected to be able to use technology to take state tests, but in my district does not have daily exposure to consistent use of technology until their in elementary school.
With an iPad I will use it to individualize instruction for my students.
I have a very wide range of abilities in my classroom and my students who preform above grade level would use the iPad to continue their growth; while my students below grade level will use the iPad to work on improving skill deficits.
