Help me give my students the opportunity to change their current flexible seating available within the classroom by adding more options. My students currently have three options for seating, but I would like to offer more selections.
Students in 1st grade have lots of energy! I love to offer different types of seating to my students. I have those who love to stand while working so I offer rubber bands to allow them to step on while working. I have students who love to sit on the floor, while others enjoy laying on the carpet to complete their work.
My students interact with their environment in multiple modalities and I want them to be proactive within the classroom.
I allow my students the opportunity to change their seating to reflect how they are feeling at that time. My students have to build a community of learning where all students are welcomed.
My students are the love of my life and I want to support them in any way possible and donating to my project will do that!
My Project
I have a wide range of learners in my classroom. My students love to sit on buckets, in laundry baskets, sit or even lay on the carpet all while learning each and every day. By adding these specific options to my classroom, you will be enabling my students more flexible seating options so they find the one that is "right" for them.
These new options for seating in my classroom will provide my students to sit in an intimate environment while giving them the opportunity to move around freely while learning.
These added flexible seating options will allow for the engagement of all students throughout the day.
